For Pupils:
We cater for a variety of health and wellbeing needs in schools. Whether it be whole class mental health and wellbeing lessons; relaxation sessions; small group support for children struggling with anxiety or low self-esteem or individual sessions for children with a specific need. Sessions are largely practical strategies that children can use in everyday life but can also involve input in line with the Es and Os of A Curriculum for Excellence if desired.
School sessions can be booked on a half or full day basis. This time can then be used as negotiated to meet the needs of your pupils and can be a mix of whole class, small group or individual sessions. School sessions are normally booked as a block for a minimum of 6 weeks but one off Health Days can also be supported.
For Staff:
We also offer Staff Sessions for individuals who would benefit from external support or a safe space to process whatever challenges they are facing. In addition, we run training or wellbeing sessions for school staff as part of In-service Days. These can be focused on practical wellbeing strategies, mental and emotional wellbeing and resilience training or a combination of the two depending on the priorities of your school.
Please get in touch with any questions you might have or to make a booking.
“Each week Claire has been leading two sessions of Relaxation Clubs after school. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity for the children to have some important ‘time out’ in what is an extremely busy week for them. The children really like Claire’s gentle approach; they feel safe, relaxed and calm during her sessions. I would wholeheartedly recommend Claire’s Relaxation classes.”
